International Life Chain – Oct. 5th

Cambridge Right to Life will join thousands of people across North America marking the International Life Chain. Life Chain is a non-confrontational way to give a voice to those who don't have one in our public debates about abortion: the pre-born children. The messages are simple text and state that "abortion harms women", "abortion kills children, and "adoption the loving opinion". These simple phrases ensure that hundreds of thousands of Canadians who never think about abortion are faced with the reminder that babies continue to be killed and that we are still here fighting for their right to life. The Life Chain in Cambridge will take place on Sunday, October 5th from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. [...]

October is Down syndrome Awareness Month

Today 90 % of children diagnosed with downs syndrome are aborted. Language and attitudes affected the down syndrome community years ago when they were hidden away from society. Today, language and attitudes around testing and screening is affecting them today. We can change that. Enjoy this video that presents several individuals living with ‪#‎Downsyndrome‬ expressing their view of life and their desire for their futures.

Is our Criminal Code worth the paper it’s written on?

The tragic case of the Costco crash earlier this month in which a car smashed through glass doors of the store striking Danah McKinnon Bozek and her daughters Miah, 3, and Addison, 6, bring to light the inadequacy of Canada’s Criminal Code. Danah McKinnon-Bozek (left) was eight months pregnant and underwent an emergency C-section in an effort to save her baby's life.  Her baby, Rhiannon Bozek, was born alive, but died 7 days later and sadly, Addison also died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the car was charged with one count of criminal negligence causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm. If one were to consider the provisions within Canada’s [...]

RU4Life? March for Life 2014

RU4LIFE? Is the theme of the 2014 March for Life. This catchy title is in response to a new application by a pharmaceutical company that is asking Health Canada to approve the chemical abortion pill RU486. In 2011, clinical trials of RU486 were halted after a Canadian woman died from using the drug. Ru486 is a lethal drug that causes the death of a developing child in the womb at 5-9 weeks gestation and has a long history of serious side effects including severe bleeding and death for the women taking it. Each year thousands of Canadians gather together on Parliament Hill to demand legal protection for children in the womb. Cambridge Right to Life [...]
