Each year, Cambridge Right to Life designates the month of May as “Respect Life Month.” During May, we hold various activities to promote the value of all of human life.
RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY: The first weekend in May, we provide bulletin inserts to local churches, free of charge. This year’s Respect Life Sunday invites local churches to participte in the promotion and signing of the Petition of One Million. Look for our brochure at your church, this coming May. The goal of this project is to collect 1 million signatures, or more, by May 2019. We cannot protect the 4 million children killed by abortion since 1969, but we can recognize and dignify their lives with every signature we collect. Petition sheets available here.
MINI-LIFE CHAINS: This year we are once again holding Mini Life Chains on Hespeler Road near the end of April, May and June. These mini life chains run from 7-8pm on Friday April 27th, Friday May 25th, and Friday June 22nd. The more people who attend, the better the pro-life witness to the city of Cambridge.
MARCH FOR LIFE: On Thursday, May 10th we are once again sending a coach bus on a one-day trip to Ottawa for the March for Life. The bus will be leaving Fairview Park Mall, 2960 Kingsway Drive, Kitchener at 5:30 am and return at approximately 11:30pm – $50 per person. To reserve your seat or to sponsor a student, call 519.623.1850.
COFFEE & DESSERT: On Thursday, May 17th we are holding our annual Coffee & Dessert Evening at the Pines (115 Fountain St S. Cambridge). Tickets are $15.00. In past years we have had over 100 people attend this event – it is a great opportunity to socialize with pro-life friends over delicious treats! Our guest speaker this year will be VP of Alliance for Life Ontario, Janet Smith. Janet has been involved in the pro-life movement for 30 years and her experience and wisdom is sure to inspire.
Thank you for your continued involvement and financial support of our work. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call us at 519.623.1850 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
