Help Defund Abortion

The McGuinty Government has ignored this issue of de-funding abortion for the last eight years and yet 67% of Ontarians oppose paying for abortion on demand. Moving Ontario forward means de-funding abortion. Campaign Life Coalition Youth is organaizing a rally on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at Queens Park from 1:00-4:00 PM to tell our newly elected provincial government to stop using our hard-earned tax dollars to fund the killing of innocent preborn children. CLCY holds the position that government-funded abortions are a blatant abuse of tax dollars, are severely unjust, and that these funds can and MUST be directed away from the killing of our preborn children. This is an issue that should be held [...]

Pro-Life Spirit Evident at the 32nd Annual Walk for Life

On Saturday, September 24, 2011, seventy-five walkers came out to participate in Cambridge Right to Life's 32nd Annual Walk for Life. Our thanks to everyone who participated and collected pledges on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves. Most notably were the 25 students from the Generation for Life Club at Monsignor Doyle High School.  Lead by teachers, Tania Rosario and Deborah Costa, they brought a youthful spirit to the event.  Some of the students made a banner promoting their school and why the pro-life issue is important to them. In addition, some of the students made their own T-shirts promoting the event. Their enthusiasm was captured in their chant as they walked through [...]

Local Students Impacted by March for Life

According to organizers of the 2011 March for Life, there were “more than 15,000 people” who took part in the National March for Life in Ottawa with "80 per cent of them under the age of 25." Our region was represented by a bus load of local particpants from the Cambridge and Kitchener region as well as students from two of our Catholic High Schools. Massive Crowd of Pro-lifers Gather On Parliament Hill

Cambridge Right to Life participated in the 14th Annual National March for Life. We were amongst the 15,000 participants who headed to Ottawa to mark the 42nd anniversary of Trudeau’s infamous Omnibus Bill that paved the way for abortion-on-demand. The following videos, images and media coverage speaks to how powerful of an event it was!     National Post Party Atmosphere on Parliament Hill for Anti-abortion Rally Kim Covert, Postmedia News May 12, 2011 There were babes in arms, teenagers busily snapping photos of themselves in front of the Parliament buildings, seniors sitting in lawn chairs in front of the podium and the occasional tourist looking bewildered by the crowd. Had it not been for [...]

New Poll Shows Canadians Want Restrictions on Abortion

The following article is written by Brian Lilley, host of BYLINE of SunNews Network. OTTAWA - The majority of Canadians believe there should be some restrictions on abortion, according to a poll conducted ahead of Thursday afternoon's annual March for Life on Parliament Hill. The results fly in the face of the political consensus in Canada in which all major party leaders at the federal and provincial levels are committed to the status quo. In Canada, there is no law on abortion and the procedure is funded with tax dollars through the health system, another issue where the country differs from their political masters. "I think there is a disconnect between what Canadians are telling [...]
