In the face of injustices in our world, one always hopes that individuals in positions of leadership will respond with conviction and honour to right whatever wrong has come to light. On January 25, 2013, Cambridge Right to Life visited MP Gary Goodyear's office to seek justice for the 491 Canadian babies who survived abortion and then were left to die. We asked that our government seek a parliamentary inquiry into the homicides of these children and that protections be put in place, including emergency medical care, for children who survive abortion. On Friday, January 25, 2013, Cambridge Right to Life will mark the 25th anniversary of the day the Supreme Court of Canada struck down Canada’s abortion law by visiting MP Gary Goodyear's office (1425 Bishop St., N from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.). No matter where you stand on abortion, we all should be horrified that 491 babies were born alive and left to die between 2000 and 2009 in Canada, as confirmed by Statistics Canada. According to how our country defines when a person becomes a human being, these children should have been protected. The Canadian Criminal Code states: 223.
